IS IT SAFE ORDERING WITH ISLAND ROOTS?
We’re one of 120+ dispensaries in BC (over 300 in Canada) that are NOT operating under the federally-approved medical marijuana system. To qualify under the federal system, you’ll need to get a doctor’s approval and Health Canada’s permission to purchase from one of the 26 licensed producers. City Hall and VPD have allowed dispensaries to proliferate so people can safely access medicine, so long as there are no sales to minors or any gang affiliations.
There are about 10 mail order marijuana sites on Vancouver Island. Vancouver Island has been shipping weed in the mail since the 90’s and to date, we know of no-one who has ever been charged with receiving pot in the mail.
That being said, there is still a risk on both ends as we are not working with any federal approval.
HOW WILL MY ORDER BE PACKAGED?
Your order will be discretely packaged and vacuum-sealed to protect and maintain your privacy. We ship using Xpresspost mailers or nondescript boxes with no indication of what is inside.
When will my order ship?
Retail orders will ship within 1 to 3 business days after we receive payment. Wholesale orders will ship 3-5 business days after we receive payment

What methods of payment do you accept?
Payment is made using Interac E-transfer. If you use online banking with a Canadian bank or credit union, then sending a e-transfer takes only a few minutes.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO SEND THE E-TRANSFER?
Once you’ve placed your order, the next step in the process will be to submit an Interac E-transfer. Your order will be kept On Hold till we receive your E-transfer. If we do not receive your payment within 7 days, your order will be canceled.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I MADE A MISTAKE ON AN ORDER?
If you made a mistake while making your order, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org letting us know to cancel the order before payment is made. We will cancel the order and you can make a new order with the correct items.
CAN i track my order?
Once your order is packaged you will receive an “Order Complete” email containing a tracking number for your order. If you have G-mail, the email with the tracking will often go to the “Promotions” folder, please move it into your inbox and going forward it will go directly into inbox.
DO YOU GUARANTEE THE ORDER WILL ARRIVE TO ME?
We guarantee that your order will be shipped with a tracking number provided to you. Once your order gets shipped, it is in the hands of Canada Post and we are no longer liable for it. To ensure the package arrives directly to you, you may request a Signature option for your package, meaning it will only be released directly to you and not left in your mailbox.
